How to Enter
To enter this competition, an entrant must have a valid South African bank account and Identity Document. All songs entered must be original compositions with all song authors credited. It is also required that the songs entered into this competition be clearly audible and of good quality. The song must be submitted on the form below in an Mp3 or WAV file format and may not be larger than 100MB. No stolen or plagiarized content will be considered and will be summarily rejected. The song must not contain any vulgar language, profanities, or otherwise offensive content and must be suitable for a general audience. The song must be in any of the 11 official South African languages or a combination thereof.

Eligibility
The Contest is open to anyone (subject to the terms contained herein), including songwriters, artists, musicians, and/or bands from anywhere in South Africa. Employees and independent contractors of Net Nine Nine, and their immediate family members, are not eligible. You will also not qualify if you have won any competition with Net Nine Nine in the last 30 days prior to this competition and only one entry per person will be allowed. If you are under 18 years of age, you must have permission and clearance to enter the Contest from your parent or legal guardian, and they will have to assist such an entrant in concluding all necessary agreements. The competition winner will be notified by email or phone.
Judging Process & Announcements
This competition is talent and skill based. All entries are judged based on the merit of the overall song (lyric & melody) and the representation of the Net Nine Nine’s core values and mission incorporated in the song. All entries will be screened by the Net Nine Nine team and songs that do not follow the below-stated requirements will be automatically disqualified. Finalists will be selected from all songs entered and will be turned over to Net Nine Nine’s online community who then narrow the finalists down to the winners by voting for their favourite song. The Winner will be notified via email and/or phone and all results will be posted on www.netninenine.co.za and announced on all Net Nine Nine social media platforms. If the chosen winner does not respond to Net Nine Nine’s notifications within seven (7) days, Net Nine Nine reserves the right to contact the runner-up for the receipt of the prize.
Content
By participating in the Net Nine Nine Theme Song Competition and submitting an entry, each entrant explicitly acknowledges and agrees that in the event their song is selected as the winning entry, all rights, title, and interest in the song, including but not limited to any and all images, text, video, lyrics, poetry, musical compositions, arrangements, and recordings contained therein, shall be irrevocably and exclusively transferred to Net Nine Nine.
Furthermore, the entrant fully understands and accepts that Net Nine Nine shall have the sole and exclusive right to utilize, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, perform, broadcast, modify, adapt, and otherwise exploit the winning song in any media now known or hereafter devised, for any purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to promotional, commercial, and marketing activities related to Net Nine Nine.
The entrant affirms that they have the legal authority to grant Net Nine Nine the aforementioned rights and that the winning song, along with all its associated content, does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights or any other rights of any third party.
Moreover, the entrant agrees not to assert any claims, demands, or rights against Net Nine Nine arising out of or in connection with the ownership, use, or exploitation of the winning song, including any moral rights or rights of attribution.
This clause shall remain binding and enforceable even if the entrant’s submission does not win the competition, thereby acknowledging that Net Nine Nine has the sole discretion to select the winning entry, and the entrant shall have no claim or entitlement to any compensation or consideration in such cases.
Other Rules & Regulations
By entering the competition through www.netninenine.co.za, you expressly agree to the Terms and Conditions listed on the Net Nine Nine website, the terms of which are incorporated herein by reference. Net Nine Nine reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet the rules herein outlined with no obligation to return any intellectual property. In no event shall we be liable to you or any third party for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, statutory, special, or punitive damages, including lost profit damages arising from your entry into the competition.
Prize Delivery
Prize delivery of all prizes will be coordinated via the winner’s bank account. If any prize is not fulfilled within 180 days of the official winner announcement, it is the responsibility of the winner to notify Net Nine Nine in writing. If the winner fails to notify Net Nine Nine of any outstanding prizes within 180 days, Net Nine Nine can no longer guarantee prize fulfilment.

Deadline
The Net Nine Nine Theme Song Competition deadline is September 15, 2023, at 11:59:59 (CAT)
