WATCH: GRUELING 2141KM CAPE2CARE RACE KICKS-OFF!

On your marks, get set, GO!

The gun went off in the wee hours of 25 February 2025, as a group of 12 women, determined to break the world record by running a grueling 2141km relay from Musina’s Beitbridge to Cape Agulhas – an ultimate endurance challenge, kicked off in style.

But, this is no ordinary race, it’s a Cape2Care marathon set for 11-days, and is expected to end at the Cape Agulhas on 8 March 2025.

On Saturday, 21 February 2026, Net Nine Nine, one of the big sponsors of the race, donated the much needed equipment to the Dynamic Women for Children NPO, which will test their physical strength, mental resilience, teamwork, and unwavering commitment to pushing beyond their limits for a greater cause.

This initiative aims to raise funds to support vulnerable children across South Africa.

Every kilometer covered represents not only endurance, but a meaningful step towards creating brighter future while also raising awareness about the challenges our children face, and the urgent need for continued community support.

The donated goods consist of running T-shirts, manufactured out of light weight moisture management fabric, designed to help regulate body temperature, provide greater freedom of movement, provide comfort during long-distance runs, and to keep our athletes’ skin cooler and drier.

Furthermore, 400 litres of water were donated to ensure participants remain hydrated and energised, as they make their journey to the coastal city.

GENLLOUD WISHES CAPE2CARE RUNNERS BEST OF LUCK!
